Why Do I Write this Blog?

This is my 300th blog post and I think that is cool. I thought that a good post would be to discuss why I even blog.  I really have one driving force;

I want my life to be AWESOMER!

Before everyone get’s on me for my bad english I know that awesomer is not a word, which is exactly why I use it.  I think many people use the term AWESOME as a beacon to strive for so I often like to do a 180 and be different then everyone else, it is part of who I am.  By the way I encourage you to read those three posts I just linked to because they are…Awesome! Ok let’s move on.  I know that for me one of the ways to create and live my BIG life is when I strive to be awesomer. The question is how do I do that, and why this blog.

I think the number one way to be awesomer is to be honest with yourself.  Put another way achieving complete congruence is the sure path to being awesomer.  Congruence is simply;

who I say I am to others and how I show up and portray myself to others is exactly the same as who I really am, at my core.

When I am congruent, good shit happens to me.  Writing this blog puts my thoughts out there, in public, hard to hide after I have done that I think.

For me it is a reminder that when I say I am something here on my blog, or when I say I am going to something awesomer in my life that fits me creating my BIG life, then now I have to do it. It is completely unworkable for me to not live up to something I said.   That doesn’t mean it doesn’t ever happen, it means I am insanely focussed on ensuring it doesn’t.

I was talking about this exact thought with a good friend of mine, Mike Cameron, co-founder of Axiom Mortgage. This conversation led to us thinking up the idea to start a speaking series in Canada for mortgage professionals, designed by mortgage professionals for mortgage professionals.  If you are a mortgage professional and you want to join the Mortgage Revolution in your area check out the link.

Mike said, “Congruence is the ultimate driver, when I am congruent I feel sparked…” I agree with him.

How do you achieve congruence? Or, is this something you have not been focussed on lately? I encourage you to consider this.  If you are sparked from this post I appreciate you for sharing it.

By the way since this is my 300th post I thought I would share the video clip I made for fun for my Mortgage Community. I think this gives my readers who don’t know me well another peek inside who I really am :-)
